Renowned for the timeless beauty of our ancient Kauri furniture, we have introduced a fashionable, limited edition collection of homeware accessories. "We've used the oldest timber in the world for our furniture," says Rose & Heather's Annette Larsen. "Now we're enhancing our furniture with the most beautiful natural fibres. Linens, cottons, silks and fine wools from a variety of sources are hand-printed, hand-stitched and hand-beaded."
Having specialised in classic contemporary looks with top-selling ranges like the Eden, the Trenail and the Tumblehome; an assortment of bed-linen ranges let you ring the changes with colour, enticing texture and detailed finishing.
You won't find many repeats of each item at our stores. The intention is to present a limited number of a few, carefully chosen pieces to maintain their boutique appeal. You can feel assured they are buying something quite different; something that will make a strong statement in the bedroom.
Like our furniture, the bed-linen is luscious, opulent and well-made. Not just purely aesthetic, it also has a sumptuous, feel-good quality.
A range of hand-printed cotton, velvet, damask and raw silk designs is proving among our most popular bed-linens. Adding a touch of romance in the bedroom, duvets, sheets and slips are beautifully printed with leaves, irises, butterflies and romantic European motifs. Sheets and slips can be spoke-stitched or silk trimmed. Duvets come detailed with ties or buttons and heavy piping. Matching velvet cushions in orange, chartreuse or wine add a lively sheen that is simply irresistable.
Strong colour is evident in hand-sewn Chinese quilts in reds and hot fuchsia florals. But for the traditionalists there's still the plain white cotton American style quilts. Puffy boutis in shot silk add extravagance at the end of the bed as lightweight summer throws or extra warmth in winter.
No matter which look you go for - tailored or frivolous - finely embroidered and beaded cushions and throws can be matched to adorn with fabulous femininity.
Throughout the stores, accessories that lend interest to the furniture are not just there for show. Director Maryjane Bell travels extensively to collect unusual items that will enhance the home. And like our furniture, it's well-made so you can take pleasure in using it, not just for special occasions, but everyday."
